Our School

Nuasin Next Generation Charter School is a free, K–12 public charter school committed to developing intellectually-curious students who are prepared to succeed in college, career, and life. Located in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx, deep ties to our community are at the heart of our program.

Our Approach
Our Mission and Values

Our K-12 program is rooted in the values of academic rigor, self-advocacy, and community.

Our Name & History

The Wappinger Confederacy, the tribe located here before European colonization, called the hill that the school is on "Nuasin," or "the land between," for its location between the Harlem River and an estuary along modern-day Jerome Ave.

  • Lower School

Our lower school (K-8) curriculum offers challenging academics alongside social and emotional education. We believe in developing the complete child daily through proactive and reactive community circles and a middle school advisory program.

  • High School

Our high school (9-12) offers a rigorous college-readiness curriculum, with the ultimate goal of getting every scholar fully matriculated to and graduated from a 4-year college or university.

Our team of staff and teachers are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and rigorous learning environment.

Meet Our Team

As a public charter school, Nuasin Next Generation is governed by a Board of Trustees.
