Nuasin Next Generation Charter School is a free, K–12 public charter school committed to developing intellectually-curious students who are prepared to succeed in college, career, and life. Located in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx, deep ties to our community are at the heart of our program.

Our Name & History

The Wappinger Confederacy, the tribe located here before European colonization, called the hill that the school is on "Nuasin," or "the land between," for its location between the Harlem River and an estuary along modern-day Jerome Ave.

    Our lower school (K-8) curriculum offers challenging academics alongside social and emotional education. We believe in developing the complete child daily through proactive and reactive community circles and a middle school advisory program.
